The Disable Welfare Foundation (DWF) has been actively engaged in various projects in Somalia to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities. Here are some of the completed projects:

  1. Eid Adhuha Distribution: DWF organized a special initiative during Eid Adhuha, where we distributed food packages and essential supplies to the needy families. This helped ensure that everyone could participate in the joyous occasion.
  2. Water and Pipeline Project: DWF initiated a water and pipeline project, aiming to provide clean and accessible water to communities in Talex. This project involved installing wells, water tanks, and pipelines, ensuring that people have access to safe drinking water.
  3. IDPs Support: DWF focused on supporting internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Somalia. In this project, we provided essential supplies, such as food, clothing, and hygiene kits, to help improve the living conditions of those affected by displacement.
  4. Distribution of Educational Materials: DWF collaborated with local and international partners and distributed, distributing educational materials to visually impaired students of Al-Nur School for the blind. This initiative was aimed to facilitate inclusive education and empower students with the necessary resources to succeed.
  5. Assistive Devices Distribution: DWF in conjunction with other partners locally and internationally organized initiatives to provide assistive devices, such as braille machines, white canes, wheelchairs, crutches, hearing aids, and mobility aids, to individuals in need. These devices enhance mobility, communication, and overall accessibility for people with disabilities.
  6. Awareness Campaigns: DWF launched extensive awareness campaigns to promote inclusivity, disability rights, and to challenge social stigmas surrounding disabilities. We organized workshops, seminars, and community events to educate the public and foster a more inclusive society.
