Emergency relief
Programs
Disable Welfare Foundation has deliberately made efforts to ensure that emergency shelters for refugees are made available, food distribution efforts is done to disabled persons, and medical facilities are accessible to disabled individuals. We also offer medical support by providing essential medical supplies, medication, and specialized care for disabled individuals who may need immediate attention during emergencies. We do this mostly by coordinating with local healthcare providers and setting up mobile clinics.
Emotional well-being is equally important during times of crisis. DWF provides counseling services, support groups, and activities tailored to the specific needs of disabled individuals, helping them cope with trauma and stress. In the aftermath of emergencies, many disabled individuals require rehabilitation services and assistive devices. DWF collaborates with local partners to provide these services, including physical therapy, prosthetics, and mobility aids, to help restore independence and functionality.
